You may have heard us mention our upcoming Aerial Yoga class in the new Pilates studio, but if you’re unsure what this class is all about, here’s a little bit on what to expect! Aerial yoga, or hammock yoga, uses a looped fabric that swivels freely on a single point taking you to an elevated level. It allows you to deepen your stretch, correct your alignment, and safely perform inversions. The hammock further serves as a tool you can hold on to for balance and as a spotting device which safely guides you into a variety of postures.

This new form of yoga is equally beneficial for beginners and intermediate students alike. You will be practicing your fitness in the air, defying gravity, moving freely, releasing fear, and floating into a deeper understanding of your wellness. You will leave aerial yoga feeling taller, leaner, and quite literally, higher.
